Ah, the sidecar bicycle, the peg-legged pirate of bikes. I have a soft spot for them despite their disadvantages. Deprived of the bicycle’s ability to carve and split lanes, you’re now steering like a bus and stuck in traffic. But it turns left great and right horribly. Roads are graded slightly, so you constantly want to go into the gutter. The bike tips towards the missing fourth wheel and I have seen a few people flip them because they act funny at high speed. Still, I have made many.
This appears to be a vintage mixte cycle lorry. It would be a creakity ride but the sidecar is the heavy truck of bicycles and you ain’t doin any alley cats with the warshin’.
